I'm really looking forward to this! I started playing Restaurant Empire on GameTap. Before that, I had never even heard of it before. Once I got started playing with it, I loved it! I plan on buying RE2 as soon as it comes out.
I like the new themes for restaurants and adding coffee houses and dessert shops but I wonder if I'd put those at the top of the list of additions. We'll have to see how they play into the story. I like that they're adding a new cuisine category but I don't know if I would've started with German. While there are some fine German dishes, I wouldn't put their cuisine at the top with the others. I would have added Japanese, Chinese, or even a generic "Asian" first. What about Mexican? I see lots of potential there. If they added Japanese, they could have sushi bars like they've added the coffee shop and dessert house. I'm thinking of so many potential ideas here.
I'm really excited to hear that there are so many more items to style and decorate your restaurants with. That will make them have a different flavor. I'm also looking forward to the new 16 mission campaign. I just hope that the "sandbox" mode is done a little differently in this one. It wasn't as fun to immediately have access to all of the chefs and all of the recipes right away. I'd rather see them come a little at a time in "sandbox" mode like they did in the story campaign.
